Satin unclassified dressesVintage 70s Embroidered Dress Gold Lurex & White Organza / Chuck Howard Boutique Satin unclassified dresses
Qty:
Rare and exquisite, Indian inspired evening dress by the great designer of New York City in the late 60s and early 70s - Chuck Howard.
Collarless, with fitted long sleeves that button at the cuffs, button down closure at center chest, and a nipped waist, it has an A line midi skirt that is gently pleated . The glory is all in the embroidery which is a combination of gold lurex, pink and blue pastel silk thread -- all in an elaborate display of abstract floral flourishing, over a base of off-white organza. The front torso has vertical patterns covering the entire chest, while the back, sleeves, and skirt show floating florettes surrounded by golden borders. The bottom of skirt echoes the torso in a wide panel of metallic dazzle.
Sleeves and torso are sheer, while the skirt is lined in a thick, cream satin underskirt.
